South Bay Sunsets

The South Bay Sunsets
currently fields two teams:

Intermediate
A nationally competitive team of 12 to 20 skaters who must be under 18 years of age and have passed their pre-juvenile moves in the field test. All skaters should be working on their USFS Juvenile field moves or higher.

Open Juvenile
A team of 8-12 skaters. The majority of the team must be under 19. All skaters must have passed the pre-preliminary moves in the field test. All skaters should be working on their preliminary moves in the field tests.

Most skaters join the team to have fun, but many find that skating on a team can be one of the most exciting, challenging, and rewarding experiences of a skater's career. The team work and dedication that goes into preparing for and traveling to synchronized skating competitions provides an excellent opportunity for athletes to develop life-long skills and memories.

Becoming a member of a competitive synchronized skating team requires that you make a personal commitment to your coach and teammates and that you will dedicate yourself to providing the time, energy, and skill level required of a team skater.

Divisions are determined each year and are dependent upon the ages and skating levels of the participants.
